Short trails
The Walking Mann short trails are an ideal way for the novice walker to discover more of the Isle of Man whilst embracing the great outdoors and staying fit at the same time. On the short trails we will help you uncover some of the islands hidden treasures by taking you on a 3-4-mile walk along various routes across the length and breadth of the island. Walking Mann has a selection of over 40 short trails taking place throughout the year, so whether it is the beautiful coastal scenery of the Raad ny Foillan or the stunning waterfalls of Glen Mooar and Ballaglass Glen, Walking Mann has a route to suit your needs.
- Short trails generally take place on Thursday and Sunday mornings between 10am-12pm and usually cover 4 miles*
- The cost of the short trail is priced at £5-£10 per person (depending on the route)
- The terrain on these walks is mostly moderate as most of the walks include some inclines. Suitable footwear and clothing are always recommended on any Walking Mann walk, as conditions can change during the walk.
- The dates and locations will be posted on the website events page along with the Walking Mann Facebook page.
- Courtesy transport options are available on request.

Summit walks
Looking for a more challenging and strenuous walk? Then the Walking Mann summit walks could be the walk for you.
These walks take place over the beautiful hills and fells of the Island and give you a unique vantage point in which to view the Isle of Man in all its natural beauty. These walks also give you the opportunity to climb some of the islands most challenging and picturesque summits.
- The walks take place on moderate/strenuous undulating terrain so suitable footwear and clothing is essential.
- The walks generally take place on Saturdays starting around midday and will take approximately 4 hrs in duration. The cost of each walk is priced @ £10/£20 per person (depending on the route)
- Courtesy transport options are available on request.
Bespoke trips
Should you have any bespoke travel or interest requirements, then Walking Mann can find an itinerary to suit your needs.
With our courtesy minibus we offer a collection and drop off services from specific locations throughout the Island. Therefore, providing you with more time to spend at the locations of your choice.
This is ideal for those people on a short vacation or those who have a limited amount of time on any given day. You could also use this service as an opportunity to visit several locations on any given day.

Special walks
Throughout the year Walking Mann provides a unique selection of special trails. These walks range from visiting a shipwreck on the shores of Jurby to a wild Wallaby walk around the Curraghs of Ballaugh.
We can also organise trips to the picturesque Calf of Man where a boat journey will guide you along the breath-taking coastline of Spanish Head and The Sound.
We also provide a choice of seasonal walks to take advantage of the Isle of Mans unique surroundings and environment. These walks include visiting the stunning bluebells of Ballaglass Glen in April to the spectacular wild orchids of Sartfell Nature Reserve in June
